As the summer heats up I find myself eating more salads and smoothie bowls. Here is a recipe for my low carb smoothie bowl! Since I don’t have acai bowl restaurants close by, this is the next best thing!
Low Carb Smoothie Bowl Recipe
1/2-1 cup almond milk (unsweetened) 1 serving chocolate protein powder 1/4-1/2 avocado 1/2 c frozen raspberries 1 T cacao powder small handful of fresh spinach
Blend in a NutriBullet. May need to add almond milk as you go. Pour into a bowl. Top with any of the following: slivered almonds, pumpkin seeds, grain free granola, unsweetened coconut flakes, chia seeds, cacao nibs, almond or peanut butter, fresh berries (if you are not a chocoholic like me, you could use vanilla protein powder and a splash of vanilla extract. You will want to omit the cacao powder if you use vanilla) Enjoy!
